Gertrude “Trudy” Boone Brigman, age 100, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014. Born in Nash County on June 16, 1913, she was the daughter of the late William Oscar Boone and Sallie Bell Boone. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Brigman and brother, W.O. Boone Jr.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty Winstead and husband Rudolph of Nashville  and Lu Ann Herring and husband Romie of Raleigh; one granddaughter;  and sister, Sallie Mae Chason of Smyrna, TN.
A funeral was held April 6, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Brandon Dees officiating. Burial followed at Pineview Cemetery.
