LAWRENCE CORTEL FISHER “COY”


Lawrence Cortel Fisher, “Coy” passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014. He was born October 5, 1936 in Tarboro, the son of Charles Wesley Fisher, Sr. and Ada Woodruff Fisher. He was preceded in death by both parents; stepmother, Ida May Fisher; sisters, Dorothy Fisher and Alma Jane Fisher Henderson; and brother, Charles Wesley Fisher, Jr.
He is survived by his wife Betty Langley Fisher; daughters Sarah Cameron Fisher and special friend Richard Scott Smith and Becky Fisher Parks and son-in-law, Julian R. Parks, Jr. of Rocky Mount; two grandchildren; one great granddaughter; sister-in-law, Barbara L. Fisher of Rocky Mount.
A service was held Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Englewood United Methodist Church with Rev. Terry Huffines and Rev. Jackie Raper officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
