Mary Burkett Bauer, 83, passed away  Sunday, March 9, 2014.
She was born in Bertie County,  on May 10, 1930 to the late Jack Burkett and Teelie Burkett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her  husband, Raymond E. (Moe) Bauer; brothers, John Henry Burkett, Billy Burkett; and sisters, Fay Lowe and Patsy Wheeler.
She is survived by her son, Paul, and his wife, Leslie.
A graveside service will be held at Pineview Cemetery in Rocky Mount on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 4 p.m. with Rev. Kathy Jo Mitchell officiating. The family will receive friends at 1649 Pinecrest Road, Rocky Mount from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. prior to the service.
