Judith Church Greene, 79, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014. She was born May 9, 1934 in Asheville, daughter of the late George Bland and Lenore Edwards Church.
She is survived by her husband, James Y. Greene, Sr.; son, James Y. Greene, Jr. and wife, Sylvia, of Raleigh; daughters, Jama B. Greene and husband, Doug Harrison, of Rocky Mount, and Jennifer L. Greene of Charlotte; sisters, Sheilia C. Whitener and Sandra C. Wright, both of Asheville.
A service to remember Judith will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Lake Lynn Community Center in Raleigh. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Americans United for Separation of Church and State (www.au.org); Foundation Fighting Blindness (www.blindness.org); or Foundation of Hope, 9401 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC 27617.
