RED OAK –– Alan Keith “Kim” Jones, 59, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Born on July 11, 1954 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Frances D. Jones, Bobby S. Jones, and Rachel C. Jones, and was the widower of Beverly R. Jones.

Graveside memorial services were held Friday, February 7, 2014, at Sunset Gardens by Rev. David Barnett and Rev. Larry Bostian. A memorial service was held February 9, 2014 at Red Oak Baptist Church by Rev. Larry Bostian.

He is survived by two step-daughters, Tracy L. Platt and Jennie R. Platt of Richmond, VA; his sister, Pat Barnett and husband, David; brother, Jeff Jones and wife, Sheri, sister-in-law, Becky Jones all of Henderson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Floyd and Jill Robertson of Dunnsville, VA.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Jones; and a sister Cathy L. Jones of Henderson.
