Rudolph “Rudy” Thaddeus Shearin, age 69, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014. Born in the Aventon Community of Nash County on October 18, 1944, he was the son of the late Clarence T. Shearin and Mary Ruth Shearin.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sue S. Shearin; son, Thad R. Shearin and wife Orna, Zachary P. Shearin and wife Katie; sisters, Katherine Greene and husband Jackie, Mary Rockett, Marjorie Carter and Judith May; three grandchildren and several   nieces, and nephews.
A service was held   January 18, 2014 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Griffin officiating.
