RUBY BAKER HARRIS BOULDEN


NASHVILLE –– Ruby Baker Harris Boulden, 92, passed away on Thursday November 28, 2013. She was born November 15, 1921 in Nash County to the late Jesse Baker Harris and Mary Susie Whitehead Harris.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lee Boulden, Sr., her son, Elmer Lee “Joe” Boulden, Jr., sisters; Ellen Breedlove, Mary Jacobs and Mildred Cockrell, and granddaughter, Jody Boulden Frazier.
She is survived by three daughters; Brenda Sue Boulden Thompson and husband, Ray, Jessie Louise Boulden and Sandra Lynn Boulden Rathjen and husband, Dean, one brother, Fredrick Turner Harris, sister-in-law, Barbara Lucas Boulden, seven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Funeral Service was Sunday, December 1, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial followed at Boulden Family Cemetery in Castalia.
