Lawrence Leroy Gibbs, age 71, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013. A native of Rocky Mount born on December 27, 1941, he was the son of the late Davis Leroy Gibbs and Linda Lawrence Gibbs.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jeannie Hooks Gibbs; sons, Christopher Lawrence Gibbs and wife Linda of Concord and Clayton Scott Gibbs and wife Camille of Raleigh; two grandchildren; sister, Susie Anderson and husband T.J. of Clinton, MO.
A service to remember Lawrence was held September 17, 2013  at Englewood United Methodist Church. Burial followed at  Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
