Elvie Ruth Edgren Donovan, 81, of Rocky Mount, passed September 3, 2013. Born in Jamestown, New York, on January 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Johan August and Gerda Sjobeck Edgren. 

She  is survived by her husband of 59 years, William E. Donovan; sons, William J. Donovan and wife, Teresa of Cary; James E. Donovan of Whiteville; daughter, Susan D. Currin and fiance, John Reagan of Seattle, WA; eight  grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held  September 6, 2013, at   Cornerstone Funeral Home, Nashville
