Betty Mottern Ferguson, age 90, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013. She was born in Kent, Oregon on May 13, 1923 to Arthur Leland Mottern and Mattie Rae Mottern.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Herman White Ferguson daughters and sons-in-law Suzanne and Bill Buchanan of Rocky Mount and Rebecca and Ron Azzone of Marblehead, MA; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at First Presbyterian Church, Rocky Mount  on Tuesday, September 10, 2013.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to First Presbyterian Church or to a charity of your choosing.
