NASHVILLE – Bruce Battle, 44, died Friday, July 20, 2007. Funeral services were held on July 28 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Percy Silver officiating. Burial followed in the Oakland Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Tierra L. Scott of Richmond, Va.; one son, Bruce Hewitt of Washington, D.C.; mother and stepfather, Bernice and Willie P. Blount of Wilson; maternal grandmother, Mozella Battle of the home; and one grandchild.

Arrangements were handled by Richardson Funeral Home, Nashville.
