Ronald Cecil Smith, 66, passed away, Wednesday, July 24, 2013. He was born May 1, 1947 in Montgomery County to the late Carmie Cecil and Nell Freeman Smith.  Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Smith; sister, Phyllis Dunn; and a brother, Dennis Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Smith;  son, Greg Smith; daughter, Pam Matesevac and husband Adam; two sisters; Janet Perry and husband Robert, Denise Pridgen and husband David, brother, Mike Smith, brother-in-law, J.W. Dunn; sister-in-law, Marie Smith; 6 grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Saturday, July 27, 2013  at Westview Baptist Church of Rocky Mount with Pastor Bill Coffey officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
