SILVER SPRING, MD.–Katharine Brooke Jones, 89, died Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Linwood T. Jones.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her daughter, Emily Jones Hinkle, and her husband, Chuck, of Emerald Isle; her son, William Brooke Jones, and his wife, Sue, of Annapolis, Md., and three grandchildren.

She will be buried next to her husband in Forest Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
