Oreole Gaskill Turner  passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013. She was born in Rocky Mount on May 25, 1918, the daughter of the late George Gilbert Gaskill and Anzy Lanie Gay Gaskill. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harvey Rudolph Turner; her sister, Anzy Lanie Gaskill Turner; her brother, George Gibbons Gaskill and her grandson, Travis Grant Batchelor.

She is survived by her only child, Gail Turner Batchelor and her husband Billy Ray Batchelor of Enfield; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren; brother Deidrick Hart Gaskill and his wife, Vangie, of Tarboro; and a sister-in-law, Agnes Joyner Turner.

A funeral service was  conducted by Reverend Tim R. Lowry at Arlington Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 11, 2013,  with burial following at Pineview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arlington Baptist Church, 1500 Bethlehem Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
