James Ray Nichols, age 82, passed away  on May 17, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his parents Archie E. and Minnie Williamson Nichols and brother Archie E. Nichols Jr.

James is survived by his wife of 53 years Joyce Barnes Nichols of the home.

A memorial service was held  May 19, 2013   in the chapel of Johnson Funerals and Cremations. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Braswell Memorial Library or UNC Chapel Hill Chancellor’s Fund.
