Lougina Marie Carroll Baker, 85, passed away, Friday May 17, 2013. She was born July 3, 1927 in Nash County to the late Zollie Lee and Maggie Perry Baker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Lee Baker and sister, Betsy Swanson.

She is survived by one son, Roy Eugene Baker and companion P.J. Riggs, two daughters; Joan Baker Barnes and husband John of Burlington, Kaye B. Elliott and husband Ray of Elm City; five grandchildren and six great- grandchildren.

A funeral service was held  Monday, May 20, 2013 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Mike Coggin officiating.
