Linda Lauder Starr, 67, passed away on  April 20, 2013. She was born in Rockingham County on August 17, 1945 and was predeceased by her parents Pauline Truslow Lauder and George Leroy Lauder of Ruffin, NC.

She is survived by her husband W. Douglas Starr of 45 years; son, Matthew Douglas Starr of Wilmington; and daughter Rachel Truslow Starr of Raleigh; sisters, Mrs. Barbara L. McMichael and her husband Jule McMichael of Reidsville and JoAnne Lauder of New York, NY.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2 p.m. at Sunset Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. Robin Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sunset Avenue Baptist Church or the Boys & Girls Club of Nash/Edgecombe Counties.
