James Rawley Medlin, age 87 passed away on March 3, 2013 in Autumn Care of Nashville.

He is preceded in death by his parents Dennis and Katie Medlin, brother Percy Medlin and sister Kathleen Pearce and an infant son.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Adell Medlin of Rocky Mount, step-son Mack Everette and wife Jo Ann of Rocky Mount, step-daughter Marie Everette of the home, four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; children, Kendall Medlin of Whitakers, Audrey Parker of Rocky Mount and Ann Chambliss of Rocky Mount, sister Aileen Keeter of Nashville, sister-in-law Mae Ola Medlin,

A memorial service  will be held March 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 661 English Road, Rocky Mount with the Rev. Ronnie Davis. The family will receive friends following the service.
