Travis Edwin Davenport, 83, passed away February 23, 2013. He was born January 1, 1930, son of the late Travis and Lillian Jones Davenport of Rocky Mount.

Ed was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Anne Kinard Davenport. He is survived by his daughters, Alison Davenport and partner, Bob Shaffer, Laura McNeill and husband Danny, and Anna Davenport and husband Pat Hurban; 7 grandchildren; brother-in-law, Fredrick W. Kinard, Jr.

Following a private family burial, a memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Rocky Mount, Wednesday, February 27 at 11 a.m., with the Reverend Peter Bynum officiating. Following the service, family members will receive friends at 208 Piedmont Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church Pastor’s Discretionary Fund.
