ROCKY MOUNT ––Corine Winstead passed away February 21, 2013 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. She was born May 19, 1931 in Nash County to the late Kinchen and Rosa Joyner. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Otha, Odie and Floyd Joyner and sisters, Ethel Vick, Geneva Joyner, and Bertha Griffin.  

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, James Aaron Winstead of the home; her daughter, Terri Winstead Sharpe and husband Gary of Rocky Mount and one grandchild.

Funeral services were held Sunday February 24, 2013 at 6 p.m. in Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel 1052 South First Street Nashville. The committal was held Monday, February 25, 2013 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park at 11 a.m.  in Rocky Mount. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Morton Memorial Presbyterian Church, 6605 West Mount Drive, Rocky Mount, NC  27803.
