Virginia Colville Boyd, 89, died Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Universal Healthcare (Nash Grove Manor) in Nashville.

She was born in 1924, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Grace and Dale Colville. Virginia was raised in Indianapolis. She is survived by her only brother, Eugene Colville of Indianapolis.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert R, Boyd, Sr. of Mooresville, Indiana.

She is survived by her son, Robert Boyd II and wife Sue of Rocky Mount; daughter, Donna Boyd Hoglund and husband Gus; son, John Boyd, all of West Coxsackie NY; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.

A  memorial service will be held at First Christian Church, 1101 West Haven Blvd., Rocky Mount at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2013. Visitation with family and friends will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to First Christian Church in memory of Virginia Boyd.
