Phillip “Wayne” Williams, 65, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013. He was born December 5, 1947 in Edgecombe County. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Robert Williams   

He is survived by his mother, Ruby Lee Williams East, his wife, Julia Williams, one daughter, Victoria Griffin; brother, Jimmy East and wife Marsha; brother-in-law, Gene Joyner; sister, Phyllis Joyner; 3 grandchildren.
