ALAN KYLE JOYNER


BAILEY - Alan Kyle Joyner, 47, of 12137 Oak Avenue, Bailey, passed away suddenly at Johnston Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, June 13. Graveside services were Saturday in Forest Hill Cemetery, Nashville. The Rev. Matthew Stone officiated.

Kyle was born May 14, 1960 to Ruby Joyner and R.C. Joyner. He was a graduate of East Carolina University and was currently working as a Peer Specialist for the Wilson Green Johnston ACTT. In addition to serving his community, he had served three years as an over seas English Instructor in Korea.

Kyle had a special way with people, and in his own way brought creativity, love, and a smile to this world. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and co-workers.

Mr. Joyner is survived by his parents, Ruby and R.C. Joyner of Bailey; four brothers, Gary Roy Joyner and wife, Martha of Garner, Gregory C. Joyner and wife, Connie and Kenneth L. Joyner and wife, Lori all of Bailey, and Brent C. Joyner of Wilson; three nieces, Laurie, Brittany and Natalie Joyner and one nephew, Brandon Joyner and a host of cousins and friends.

The family is especially grateful to the Bailey Baptist Church and the Middlesex Church of God for their love and support during this tragedy.

The family received friends Friday at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
