William “Billy” Floyd Hunt, Sr., 87, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013. Billy was born in Castalia on January 15, 1925, son of the late Glover and Mabel Vaughn Hunt. He is preceded in death by his  wife, Eleanor Belle, and two brothers, Charles and Richard Julian Hunt.

He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Ladd and her husband, Rick; two sons, Floyd Hunt, Garland Hunt and his wife, Sandra; six grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Englewood United Methodist Church, PO Box 7128, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.

A service to remember Billy was held January 14, 2013 at Englewood Unitd Methodist Church. Burial   followed the service at Pineview Cemetery.
