Deborah  Sawyers Jones, 57, passed away on Monday December 31, 2012 at Duke University Hospital.

She was born on September 29, 1955, in Richmond, VA, to the late Roy Sawyers, Sr. and Helen Shropshire Sawyers.

She is survived by her husband; William Jones, son; Mike Hylton and wife Lisa of Rocky Mount, daughters; Heather Sills and husband Carl of Elm City,  and Samantha Parker and husband, Travis of Nashville, three grandchildren; brothers; Kenny Sawyers and Roy Sawyers(Robyn) of Eden, sisters; Karen Ward and Linda Eisner, also of Eden,  and Myra Tudor(Bob) of Reidsville.

Funeral services were held at Johnson Funerals and Cremations on Thursday January 3, 2013 with the Rev. Lorraine Thorne, officiating. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to: American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004
