NASHVILLE - John “Jay” Wilford Pearce Jr., age 69, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013. Born in New Bern on November 16, 1943, he was the son of the late John Pearce Sr. and Georgia White Pearce.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Peggy Bone Pearce of Nashville; and one brother, Laurence Pearce and wife Carol of Apex.

A funeral service was held Monday, January 7, 2013 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. Burial followed the service.
