RAY LEE ROSE


NASHVILLE - Ray Lee Rose, 74 died Tuesday, April 11, 2006. He was born in Nash County April 9, 1932 son of the late James Bennie Rose and Betty Cooper Rose.

His brothers J.B. Rose, Jr. and Jack Rose, sister Doris Hicks preceded him in death.

Mr. Rose was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church where he served as deacon and was a charter member of Elm Grove Ruritan Club.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Janice Edwards Rose; daughters, Bonnie R. Hager and husband Phillip M., Ann R. Evans and husband Keith all of Nashville, Donna R. Lamm and husband, Ronald of Sims; sister Florine Rose Jefferys of Nashville; grandchildren, Benjamin Hager, Brian Hager, Jonathan Evans, Frances E. Floyd and husband Josh Floyd, Thomas Evans, all of Nashville, Tyler Lamm, Rebecca Lamm of Sims; sisters-in-law Marie Rose and Dorothy Rose.

The family received friends at 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Elm Grove Baptist Church, Thursday, April 13, 2006. Funeral service followed visitation at 7:30 p.m. at the church Thursday, April 13, 2006 with Rev. Michael Edwards and Rev. Jesse Mooney officiating.

Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2006 at Forest Hill Cemetery.
