Barbara Ann James, 73, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012. She was born March 13, 1939 in Nash County to the late Lonzie and Maggie Langley Parker.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Raeford “R.J.” James and a sister, Linda Rose Groover.  

She is survived by her son, Ronnie J. James and wife Jennifer, two brothers, W.L. Parker, Jr., Ricky Parker and wife Dollie, two sisters, Sharon Parker Chinnis and Gail Parker Tucker, two grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and endless cousins and friends.      

A service was held Sunday, December 2, 2012 in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Moss officiating.
