NASHVILLE - Mr. Johnnie Cordell Jr., 61, of Nashville, departed this life on Saturday, September 22, 2012.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 2:00PM at the St. Hope Baptist Church in Spring Hope.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda H. Cordell; children, Allegro Cordell and his wife, Cheryl of Rocky Mount, Jasmine Cordell-Armstrong and husband, Colby of Raleigh, three grandchildren; sisters, Queen Perry and spouse, Excel, of Spring Hope, Vella Beauford of Indiana, Lucille Cordell of Mansfield, Ohio, Doris Whitehead, and husband, Curtis of Tarboro and Brenda Leonard of Raleigh; goddaughter, Linda Wright of Rocky Mount; uncle, McKinley Pulley and his wife, Louise of Middlesex; aunt, Mary Wiggins of Zebulon; brother-in-law, William Newkirk of Spring Hope; mother-in-law, Fannie Terrery of Wilson.
