Gladys Cayton Tyson, age 79, passed away on September 19, 2012 at Nash General Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her husband Owen Tyson, mother and father Maggie and Charlie Cayton, son David Dougherty and five brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her two sons: Darrin Dougherty of Pinetops and Darrell Tyson of Kill Devils Hills, two daughters: Diane Wyss of Brunswick, MO and Heidi Boucher of Landers, Ca, brother Roy Cayton of Richmond, Va., seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 in the Chapel of Johnson Funerals and Cremations at 11 am.
