Sheila Lee Ward Johnson, the daughter of the late Joseph Elbert and Della Lee Ward of Nash County, was born on February 2, 1948 and passed away August 24, 2012 at the age of 64.

She is survived by her husband Joseph (Joe) Ben Johnson; children Sheila Dawn Daniels (husband Michael) of Rocky Mount and Joseph Lane Johnson (friend, Jennifer Fleming) of Durham, NC; brother, Jerry Lilley Ward and sister, Vickie Ward Everette, both of Rocky Mount; mother-in-law Ida Eason of Tarboro; sisters-in-law Louise Burgress (John) of Pinetops,  and Linda Campbell (Donald) of Panama City Beach, Fl; Aunt Josie Smith of Raleigh; six grandchildren; and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by sister-in-law Linda Ward, of Durham, NC and her father-in-law Ben Johnson of Rocky Mount.

Services were held Monday, August 27, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home and Cremations, 1052 South First Street, Nashville, with Steve Kirkland and Rod Kasler of Ohio officiating. Burial  followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
