Ruth Shearin Coppedge, 91 passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012.  She was born August 11, 1920 in Nash County to the late Jimmy and Edna Shearin. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dueard Coppedge; step daughter, Frances Stallings; step son, Fred Coppedge; step grandchild, Brandon Roberson; brothers, Raymond, Joe, Buck and Horace Shearin; sisters, Mary Etta Davis and Lula Bell Sykes.

 She is survived by son, Arthur “Buddy” Fannin and wife Rosa Bell of Nashville; daughter, Patricia Murray and husband Wilson of Raleigh; step son, William Michael Coppedge and wife, Faye of Nashville; step son-in-law, Kermit Stallings of Red Oak; step daughter-in-law, Hilda Coppedge; two sisters, Christine Hayes of Spring Hope and Carrie Lee Young of Momeyer; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Arnold and Rev. Jimy Edwards officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
