Marvin Wayne Evans, 69, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012.  He was born July 17, 1942 in Edgecombe County to the late Horace Green and Mary Denson Evans.  He was also preceded in death by one sister and two grandsons.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Deborah Carr Evans; three sons, Horace Thomas Evans, Nathan Wayne Evans, and Marvin Eugene Evans; one daughter, Ginny Evans; one brother, Joseph Willie Evans Sr.; eight grandchildren. A funeral service was held  Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in the chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home.

 In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Cornerstone Funerals and Cremations 1052 S. First St. Nashville, NC 27856, C/O Marvin Wayne Evans, to help assist with funeral expenses.
