Gladys Coley Flood, 78, passed away Friday June 22, 2012.

Gladys was born on August 4, 1933 to the late Marion Theodore and Gladys Mae Taylor Coley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Solomon Lee Flood, grandson, Scott Flood and a brother, Ed Coley.

She is survived by daughters; Elaine Taylor (John) and Janet Walters (Andy) of Rocky Mount and Lisa Webb (Steve) of Elm City, sons; Ronald “Buddy” Flood (Kim) of Darlington, SC, Donald L. Flood (Dale) of Rocky Mount, and Richard “Ted” Flood (Denise) also of Rocky Mount; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; brothers Doug Coley and Gene Coley.

A funeral service was held Sunday, June 24, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 661 English Road, Rocky Mount.
