ROCKY MOUNT – Virginia “Jenny” Dupree Harvey, age 87, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012. She was born in Edgecombe County, July 10, 1924, daughter of the late Charlie and Octavia Stallings Dupree.

She is survived by her son Tim Harvey and wife Nancy; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; special sister, Beth Fowler and husband Harry; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Wheeler Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Harry Fowler officiating.  Burial followed at Pineview Cemetery, Section 54.
