Katherine Ward Mott, age 80, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012. She was born September 24, 1931 in Alabama to the late Ira Ward and Dell Lee Ward.

Ms. Mott will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, David Mott (Brenda), Betty Mott, Doris Smith (Phil), Linda Pollard, Lee Mott (Brenda), Mary Lewis (Dean), Frances Davis and Kenny Mott; grandchildren, Keith Mott, Christy Medlin, Wendy Fox, Jeffrey Lewis, Alex Smith, Jessica Styles, Patrick Mott, Kristina Mott, Heather Mott, Crystal Mott, Brandy Mott, Tyler Mott, Misty Mott and Mandy Mott; seven great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service was held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Wheeler Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. William Harper presiding. The family  received friends and family at the funeral home immediately following the service.
