Dr. Charles Marshall Coats, 48, passed away May 6, 2012.

He was born on September 09, 1963 to Rev. Charles W. Coats and Alice Peed Coats of Durham NC. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Rev. Tim Browning.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife, Beth Browning Coats who shared his life for 20 years; children, J.C. Coats and Laura (Shane) Winstead; sisters, Vicki (Gene) Hill, Cindy (Doug) Batchelor, Marsha (Dale) Winstead;
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Robert Weslund and Rev. Gene Brooks. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
