Leah Lee Wimberley, age 74, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012. Born in Nash County on August 06, 1937, she is the daughter of the late William Frederick Lee and Minnie Leah Pittman Lee. She was preceded in death by her cherished husband of 34 years, Robert Diggs Wimberley, Jr.

She is survived by her her son, Robert Diggs Wimberley, III of Rocky Mount; daughter, Lee Wimberley Hux of Rocky Mount; one grandson; brother, William Frederick Lee, Jr. and wife Carol of Leggett; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service to remember Leah was held Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Pineview Cemetery with Rev. Juliana Lindenberg officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5213, Glen Allen VA 23058, or the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville NC 27834.
