Joan Annette Hanson, 74, passed away, Thursday March 29, 2012. She was born May 10, 1937 in Norwalk, Ohio, daughter of the late Arthur and Maxine Barker Bilton.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene and Jerry Bilton.

She is survived by her son, Bill Hanson and wife Patricia of Spring Hope, a daughter, Kelly Atchison and husband Charles of Newport News, VA., two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren

A memorial service was held Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of Momeyer Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Arnold officiating. Memorials may be made to Momeyer Baptist Church Puppet Ministry 4967 Momeyer Way, Nashville, NC  27856.
