Anthony Scott Carpenter, 49 passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012.  He was born in Edgecombe County October 26, 1962.  Scott was preceded in death by his father, Edward Thomas Carpenter, his paternal grandparents, Edward and Retha Carpenter and his maternal grandparents, Tommy and Mavis Outlaw.

 He is survived by his mother, Alice Faye Outlaw Carpenter of Nashville; brothers, Edward Dean Carpenter of Nashville, Keith Carpenter and wife, Sherry of Castalia and Terry Carpenter of Spring Hope.

 A funeral service  was held Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Cornerstone Funeral Home, Nashville with Pastor Daniel Moss officiating.
