ROCKY MOUNT ––  Grady Lee Blackmon, age 86, passed away Monday, March 05, 2012. Born in Clanton, Alabama on June 19, 1925, he was the son of the late Otis Lee Blackmon and Vallie Alred Blackmon. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Alberta Taylor Blackmon.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine H. Blackmon; son, Lee Blackmon and wife Beverly of Liberty SC; two grandchildren; two step-daughters, Charlene Edwards of Raleigh and Luanne Osborne and husband Russell of Rocky Mount; and three step-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives 12:30 - 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 07, 2012 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. A service to remember Grady will be held at 2 p.m. following the visitation in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Pineview Cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Marvin Methodist Church, 911 Falls Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
