Dannie Coats Carter passed away at the age of 84 on Saturday, February 18, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her husband William T. Carter, her parents, John Crossen and Amanda Dudley Coats and son-in-law, Charles Honeycutt.

She is survived by her children: Diana Carter of the home, Carl T. Carter(Carol), Bonita C. Willis(Scott),Denise C. Webb(Freddie), William B. Carter(Dana), Lori C. Honeycutt, Greta C. Stone(Ray), Eric V. Carter(Georgette) Amy C. Keel(Mike), Clint B. Carter(Sherri),Tammy C. Page(Doug); 16 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren; brothers: John Coats (Shirley) and Marvin Coats (Carol) and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 in the chapel of Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 661 English Rd., Rocky Mount, with the Rev. George Hughes and Rev. Ricky Forkum, officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
