George Jasper Daughtridge passed away on January 31, 2012.  He was born September 20, 1927, to the late Jasper Hayes (Jack) and Emma Vick Daughtridge. He was preceded in death by brothers, David and Jackie Daughtridge, sisters Nellie Moore and Shirley Shearin and son, Marvin Daughtridge.

He is survived by Christine, wife of 64 years; children Allan, Bruce (Marina) Daughtridge, Doris Wadsworth, June (Ronnie) Lee; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; special nieces and nephews; siblings Marie Sawyer, Lorine (Charles) Crompton, Johnny (Mattie) Daughtridge, Ann Parker.

Memorial services were held held Friday, February 3, 2012 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Johnson Funerals and Cremations, English Road Location, Pastor Joe Price, officiating. 

A graveside service was held Saturday morning at 11 a.m. in the Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
