William Clodas (Jack) Jackson, age 79, passed away on January 29, 2012.  He was born in Martin County on September 25, 1932, oldest of seven children by the late Berry and Rosa Sessums Jackson. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Rev. Richard Jackson and Justa Jackson; and brother-in-law, Larry Harper.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Earlene Jackson; daughters, Melanie Jackson Kilgore (Kevin), and Tina Jackson Cobb (Chris); son, Rev. Dean Jackson (Misty); four granddaughters; four grandsons; siblings, B.J. Jackson (Jennifer), Marie Jenkins (Clarence) Ruth Harper and David Leon Jackson (Carol); and sisters-in-law, Betsy Jackson and Jackie Jackson.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 01, 2012 at Shenandoah Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Hill, Rev. Allen Langley, and Rev. Tim Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
