ROCKY MOUNT – John Dean Bunn Jr., 78, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Nash General Hospital. He was born in Nash County, Oct. 29, 1928 to the late John Dean Bunn Sr. and Estelle Price Bunn. John was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a wonderful, open and loving friend to so very many.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Geraldine Bunn of the home; four sons, Dean Ross Bunn and fiancee Tina of Nashville, and John Terrell Bunn, Gerald Charisse Bunn and wife Valerie, and Arnold Shaun Bunn and wife Debbie, all of Rocky Mount; two sisters, Ruth Bunn Winstead of Raleigh and husband Ronald of Nashville, and Jean Bunn Cartee and husband J.T. of Nashville; 10 grandchildren, Cameron and wife Evrim, Jennifer, Sarah, Trey, Emerald, Olsen, Neill, Jett, Maelyn, and Olivia Bunn; and a very special family friend, Dawn Allen.

The family received friends March 29 at Bowling Funeral Home. Funeral services were held March 30 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Hicks and the Rev. Glen Moore officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
