James Brandon Pitt, 32 passed away Monday, January 16, 2012.  He was born in Nash County on May 7, 1979.

He is survived by his wife, Shannon W. Pitt of the home; mother, Gay Lynn Lucas and step-father Troy L. Lucas of Tarboro; sons Chandler and Connor Pitt of the home; step grandfather, John David Young of Rocky Mount and step brother, Landon Lucas of Tarboro.  He was preceded in death by his father Jesse James Pitt, Jr.

A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Red Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Bostian officiating.  Burial followed at Forest Hills Cemetery.
