ROCKY MOUNT – Retha Thorne Walker, 81, of Rocky Mount, died on Friday, January 6, 2012, at Heritage Hospital in Tarboro.

A visitation for Mrs. Walker will be held from 5 - 7 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2012, in the Rocky Mount  Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, with a visitation prior to the Funeral, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Rocky Mount.  Rev. Richard Battle will be officiating.  The interment will take place immediately following the service in the Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery in Rocky Mount.
