Marie Taylor Boykin, 57, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2011.  She was born June 3, 1954 in Nash County, daughter of the late Albert and Betty Morgan Taylor.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Mae Barham and two grandchildren, Joshua and Madison Boykin.

Surviving are her husband, Charles Boykin; sons, Charles Boykin, Jr. of Rocky Mount, David Boykin and wife Katie of Spring Hope and Wayne Boykin and wife Jennifer of Nashville; brothers, David Taylor of Castalia, Roy Taylor of Red Oak, Donald Taylor and Earl Taylor both of Nashville; sister, Mary Elizabeth Collins of Nashville; and seven grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at  3:30 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2011 at Cornerstone Funeral Home, Nashville with the Pastor Nathan Starr officiating. Burial followed at Whitakers Cemetery.
