Lucy Talley Manning, 97, passed away Monday December 19, 2011 at Hunter Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation in Rocky Mount.

Mrs. Manning was born May 1, 1914 in Rabun County, GA to the late Henry Harrison and Minnie Green Talley.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollin H. Manning and a son, Johnny A. Manning.

Mrs. Manning is survived by her loving family, daughters; Tempie Bobrowski (Clay) of Falls Church,VA, Betty Sullivan (Snookie) of Nashville, Joan Manning of Carolina Beach,  and Embra Pullen (Lee) of Rocky Mount, son; Ollin Manning, Jr.(Cathy) of Carolina Beach, Daughter-in-law; Loleatta Manning of Nashville;  sister; Lela Brown of Webster, FL, 10  grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

 Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 661 English Road, Rocky Mount.  Committal services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday December 22, 2011 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
