Reba Blanche Keel Gay, age 81, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011. She was born in Bertie County on August 12, 1930. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wall Gay.

She is survived by her  children, Gloria Strickland (Brian), Linda Aycocke (Joe), Deborah Allen (Roy), Teresa Thompson (Lee), Sharon Landis (Bobby), Arlene Ellis (Bruce), Ricky Perry (Diane), Ronnie Perry, and Steve Barnes (Pat); 18 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren; brother, James Assad (Linda).

 A service to celebrate Reba’s life was held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 19  at Harvest Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Wood officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Harvest Baptist Church Building Fund, 2325 Old Mill Road, Rocky Mount NC 27803.
